David Barron

Player Profile: David Barrondbarron1617

Position: Defender/Midfielder
Date of Birth: 10/09/1987
Place of Birth: Greenock
Previous Clubs: Partick Thistle, St Mirren

Comment: A graduate of the youth system at Partick Thistle who moved on to join St Mirren when the Jags released him in 2005 along with Frank McKeown and Armand Oné. The 29 year old quickly became established but had little luck with injuries during his spell with the Paisley club. He made 120 appearances, many of those in the Premiership, and bagged just the one goal, in a 3-0 Scottish Cup win over Dumbarton. Signed for Stranraer in August 2015, but injuries curtailed his first season at Stair Park. 2016/17 has been much more fruitful for the defender, who has become a key player for the Blues.
