Pettigrew FBStranraer tonight completed the signing of Craig Pettigrew following  his release from Dumbarton.

Craig will be no stranger to the Stranraer squad or support, having made 83 appearances for the club in his first spell at Stair Park. He rejoins the squad as a direct replacement for Luke Watt, who returned to Motherwell following the end of his loan spell and goes straight into the squad for Saturday's match at Stenhousemuir.

It had been hoped that another signing would be completed, but that has stalled for the time being.

The manager is continuing his work already done over the past few weeks to get more new faces into the squad to strengthen the areas that he is aware are needing some reinforcement. It is likely to be a busy month for Brian Reid and we hope to have more signing news in due course, with a few options already being explored and some fresh faces being invited in to join training.

At training tonight both our injured players, Willie Gibson and Mark McGuigan were present and spent some time with the physio. Willie has a strain but it's not thought to be a muscle tear and Mark is still suffering a soft tissue injury. At this stage it looks like both players are doubtful for the weekend but should be back in contention shortly thereafter.
