Stranraer FC are delighted to announce the signing of Hearts legend Christian Nadé.

The imposing striker, 31, was a free agent after leaving Dumbarton this summer.

With several clubs queueing for his signature, Brian Reid was thrilled to get his man.

Reid said: "Christian has a wealth of experience, and will add extra firepower to the squad".

Nadé has a tremendous pedigree, having spent his formative years in France at Ligue 1 side Troyes AC in French Ligue 1, before a year in England at then-Premiership side Sheffield United. The highlight of his stay in Yorkshire was a fine goal to help the Blades to a famous 1-0 win over Arsenal.

However, it was in Edinburgh where Nadé really made his mark. His goals for Hearts against city rivals Hibernian helped make him a popular figure with the Jambos support, even today.

After moves to Cyprus and Thailand, the big forward returned to Scotland for spells at Dundee, Raith Rovers, Hamilton Accies and Dumbarton.

Last season, he scored 7 goals in 12 Championship appearances for the Sons, and will look to make a similar impression at Stair Park.
