Another New Signing

Jackson LongridgeYoung defender Jackson Longridge put pen to paper tonight and became the latest player to join the squad for this coming season. 19 year old Jackson is a highly rated left sided defender who likes to add his weight to attack as well as his defensive duties. A product of the Ayr United Soccer Academy it was a surprise to many when the Somerset Park club released him this summer having made 9 appearances for the first team and featured promininently in the successful youth teams at Ayr over the past few seasons since he moved to Ayr after being 5 years at St. Mirren. Assistant Manager Stephen Farrell said that the club had heard many good reports about Jackson and he comes highly recommended as a bright prospect and both he and the manager look forward to working with him this season and helping him progress to regular first team football.
