jlongworth1516smallcmalcolm1516smallThe Blues recorded a resounding 5-1 victory at Ochilview today. The match was played in horrendous conditions with heavy rain and a strong wind blowing down the pitch. However this didn't hinder Stranraer and they created some gilt edge opportunities early on. Then as the story has been all season it was the home side that opened the scoring against the run of play. A corner got caught in the wind and went straight in past debutant goalie Max Currie. However the Blues struck back with three quick goals from Craig Malcolm, Jamie Longworth and Sam McCloskey. Malcolm put a more appropriate look to the scoreline with another two goals with the 5th from the penalty spot after Andy Stirling got fouled.
