Glenavon W2

The 2018/19 Stranraer FC Open Day festivities will now include a friendly against Northern Irish side Glenavon.

The Lurgan Blues, who finished 3rd in the NIFL Premiership last season, will travel across the water for a friendly at Stair Park with a 3.30pm kickoff.

Stranraer last hosted Glenavon on 16 July 2011, with the home side coming out on top thanks to three fine penalty shootout saves from David Mitchell after Craig Malcolm had scored a late equaliser.
This year's match will be Stranraer's first fixture of pre-season, and replaces the planned training session, with the home kit launch and player meet and greet still going ahead from around 12.30pm.

Further details will be announced soon, including a timeline of events and admission prices.
